ABLAZE & BEAMING
A major racing venue for over 60 years, the Southland Casino Hotel in West Memphis, AR recently completed A $320 million expansion, transforming the former racetrack into a Vegas style luxury hotel and casino destination. A full renovation to the gaming floor included expanding to 113,000 sf, and incorporates over 50 live gaming tables, 2400 slot machines, a VIP lounge and multiple dining options.
To enhance the gaming experience, an incredible custom illuminated ceiling was designed to incorporate thousands of feet of BL neonVIEW to flood the gaming floor with programmable, color-changing, efficient LED lighting.
Vibrant BL neonVIEW PIXEL FLAT SI RGBW creates entertaining impact with digital pixel chasing lighting effects, attracting players to the slot machines with a sense of excitement, while our BL neonVIEW SIDE SI SC L2 HB in 2700K enhances the atmosphere at the gaming tables with warm welcome lighting, creating a focused and calm ambiance that subliminally entices guests stay awhile.
These deliberate lighting effects improve wayfinding, guide patterns of movement, and draw attention through the well-planned space; and playful lights create visuals ranging from strobing, blinking, popcorning, color changing rainbows and waves to simple chasing and color changing effects.
LIGHT-HEADED
Each individual piece of BL neonVIEW was manufactured to exact lengths, and fitted with custom injection-molded back leads, ensuring all wiring connections could be easily hidden from sight, for a clean, professional installation. BL neonVIEW is securely attached to the bottom of the trusses with durable aluminum mounting clips, allowing free placement of the lights, whether following straight lines or custom contours. At just 4.57 W/FT, BL neonVIEW was the #1 choice for dynamic, energy efficient, bright lighting, paired with BL DRIVER J5 models with outputs up to 288W, to facilitate easy wiring and installation of each component.
Striking and eye-catching, BL neonVIEW PIXEL FLAT SI RGBW is an intelligent and addressable luminaire, integrating digital pixel functionalities into lighting installations, making expressive motion, animation, chasing effects, and custom tailored illuminated displays easy. BL neonVIEW SIDE SI 2700K L2 HB, following the same patterns in the ceiling takes a more utilitarian role. 222 lumens per foot enhance general illumination, and the 120° beam delivers glare free light, a requirement for clear security camera footage throughout the casino. Combining technology, reliability and energy efficiency, BL neonVIEW ensures attractive, low maintenance, purposeful illumination for years to come.
