Role Overview

BL Lighting is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Production Technician – Lighting Assembly to join our Vancouver production team.

This role is focused on assembling lighting products, supporting quality control, and helping keep the production area organized and efficient. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working with tools, building products, solving practical problems, and taking pride in careful, accurate work.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble lighting products, components, and related parts with accuracy and care
  • Perform basic wiring, measuring, cutting, crimping, soldering, and light electrical assembly
  • Use hand tools and shop tools safely and effectively
  • Support product testing, quality checks, troubleshooting, repair, and rework
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and production procedures
  • Keep workstations, tools, materials, and finished goods organized
  • Support packing, material handling, inventory flow, and warehouse organization when needed
  • Communicate clearly with the production team about quality, safety, missing materials, or process concerns

What We’re Looking For

The right person is practical, reliable, organized, and comfortable working with their hands.

You should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Production assembly
  • Manufacturing or shop work
  • Lighting, electrical, electronics, or mechanical assembly
  • Wiring, crimping, soldering, repair, or troubleshooting
  • Quality control or inspection
  • Warehouse organization, packing, shipping/receiving, or material handling

Helpful Experience

  • Comfortable using hand tools and basic shop tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions carefully
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized
  • Able to work independently after training
  • Able to work as part of a small production team
  • Physically able to perform hands-on production work during the workday
  • Legally able to work in Canada
