Role Overview

BL Lighting is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting & Operations Coordinator to support bookkeeping administration, shipping and logistics coordination, inventory records, HR administration, and general office operations.

This is a hands-on business support role suited to someone who enjoys working in a product-based small business environment where accounting, operations, logistics, inventory, and administration often overlap.

What You’ll Do

  • Support bookkeeping administration, expense tracking, invoices, receipts, and basic financial records
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
  • Organize vendor invoices, customer records, payment information, and supporting documents
  • Coordinate shipping documentation and courier/freight communication
  • Support Canada–U.S. shipping paperwork using established company procedures
  • Assist with inventory tracking, warehouse coordination, samples, demo materials, and internal product records
  • Support employee administration, onboarding paperwork, records, attendance, and related documentation
  • Provide general office and operations support to management and internal departments
  • Help keep records, files, follow-up items, and administrative workflows organized

What We’re Looking For

The right person is organized, reliable, practical, and detail-oriented.

Strong candidates may have experience in:

  • Bookkeeping or accounting administration
  • Office administration or operations administration
  • Logistics coordination or shipping documentation
  • Inventory tracking or warehouse coordination
  • HR administration, onboarding, employee records, or payroll documentation
  • Product-based businesses, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, import/export, lighting, electrical products, or construction supply

Required Qualities

  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting administration, office administration, operations administration, logistics coordination, or a similar business support role
  • Experience with expense tracking, invoice documentation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, or credit card reconciliations
  • Strong professional English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, documents, email, accounting software, and business systems
  • Able to handle confidential financial, employee, and company information professionally
  • Able to work full-time in person at our Vancouver office

Helpful Experience

  • Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
  • Canada–U.S. shipping procedures and customs documentation
  • FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight carriers, or shipping platforms
  • Inventory tracking, CRM, ERP, or inventory management systems
  • HR administration, employee records, payroll documentation, or workplace safety administration
